Lorien is a carbon credit marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of verified carbon offsets using blockchain for transparency and traceability. Block Intelligence built the platform to support issuance, trading, and retirement of carbon credits with clear provenance and reporting.

The client needed a marketplace that could handle multiple credit types and standards while providing immutable records and avoiding double-counting. They also required integration with registries and reporting frameworks used by enterprises and regulators.
